      Jimin is the Broadway, Tony Award winning musical theatre guy… from Lie, Filter, Serendipity, you can see that’s his VIBE. Jimin could have done what’s acceptable, and loved, like Dream Glow, Christmas Love, With You, …all vocal line songs style… but instead he made FACE essentially autobiographical, truth telling, this is who I am/this is me, I am going to put it out there, so either accept me or not. Set Me Free is a message to self and haters; forcefully saying I won’t allow the hate to destroy me, to overwhelm and bury-drag me into darkness, to make me drink every night, I worked harder, fought harder, succeed despite your opposition/oppression, here I am-topside of good fortune that you didn’t want or wish for me, don’t care about your hate, “f- off”. You ask: Why use auto tune plus the music being too loud to quiet his awesome voice? why use auto tune when he didn’t need it? Haters and fake fans hated the use of auto tune and are spewing viciousness on media sites. I don’t like auto tune normally, but I love it here, because Jimin used it as artistic expression, to get his point across, auto tune represents his new self-the guy who won’t let haters ride roughshod over him, won’t take the bs, so f-it, f-u… Loud music, which you can barely hear his sweet voice, that’s how much the hate oppressed him, almost silenced him. When you hear his beautiful voice, that is his normal, sweet self, free of anxiety-doubt, able to ignore& .brush off hate, he is renewed, like a butterfly and asking haters to stop-let go of the hate/set me free. [{This is what I got from mv, if you don’t like what I wrote…just read it, and throw it away in your mind. Don’t want any negative-hate messages. I don’t need your ugliness. I will block you…set me free.}]
