このDino246GT tipo-Mは、1971年5月にフェラーリ社からミラノ在住のオーナーへデリバリーされ、その後イタリア国内で３名のオーナーに引き継がれてきた。
ファーストオーナーへデリバリーされた”Azzurro Dino”という名前の鮮やかなブルー色は、Ferrari Dino246GTの総生産台数中90台未満しかないDino専用色。最新モデルのスペチアーレでも特注される人気の高いクラシックカラーである。
2016年1月にペルテガダの工房Carrozzeria Fantinにおいてフルレストア作業がスタートした。この工房は主に70年代のフェラーリのレストアにおいて豊富な経験を持っておりDinoの専門家によって推奨されている。
レストア作業は車両をすべて分解して、ボディーとフレームをスケルトン状態から完璧な修復作業が行われた。ビスとナット、消耗品すべてを新品パーツへ交換し、内装はオリジナルのダッシュボード、メーター、シートを再利用し新しく構築し直された。
オリジナルでなければならないパーツはレストアすることによりオリジナルコンディションを維持しながら新車コンディションでフルレストアが完成している。この大掛かりなレストア作業を全て記録した画像と資料が残っている。
インテリアはベースとなるダッシュボードトリムやシートフレームを再利用して表皮やスポンジを新素材で再構築されている。シックなグレーカラーのカーペットからドア内張り、ルーフ内張りなどすべて新しくなっている。
エンジンとミッション、キャブレターはオーバーホール後セットアップされて新車同様のフィーリングでドライブすることができた。
ブレーキディスクからダンパーユニットも新しい部品で組み付けられ、サスペンションアームやブレーキキャリパー等はオリジナルパーツをオーバーホールし再塗装されて組み込まれている。その他に電装系の配線やヒューズ、バッテリー、油圧ホース類などもすべて新しく交換されている。
2019年1月にフルレストアが完了しオーナーの元へ納車された。LMP Cars Firrenze Branch責任者と古くから友人関係であったオーナーから2020年12月に譲っていただき、2021年2月フェラーリクラシケサフィスケート申請を行いマラネロのFerrari S.P.Aクラシケ部署に正式受理された。そして2021年6月日本へ空輸されて7月にナンバープレートを取得。
フルレストア作業が完了してからテスト走行を行って各部が調整されているため、すべて正常に作動している。クラッチは軽くミートポイントもつかみやすいため坂道発進も容易にこなすことができる。トルクが太いエンジン特性なので街中では4,500RPMもエンジンを回せば交通をリードすることが容易だった。特筆すべきは高速コーナーやS字コーナーが得意であるということ。これはロングホイールベースとライトウェイトな車重、ダブルウィッシュボーン形式のサスペンションからの恩恵で、正確なステアリングインフォメーションも美点である。高回転になるほど心地よい加速とエンジンサウンドを味わえる快感は、クラシックディーノならではだと思う。この乗り心地と扱いやすさなら、街中からツーリングまでどのようなシュチュエーションでも大満足のドライビングプレジャーを得られるだろう。短い時間だったけれど、クラシックディーノを思う存分堪能できて幸せだった。

Fully restored 1971 Ferrari Azzurro Dino 246GT Tipo M is here at LMP Cars, Aoyama Tokyo. We took it to the winding roads for a test drive.

This Dino 246 GT Tipo-M was delivered by Ferrari to the first owner living in Milan in May 1971, and has since been taken over by three owners in Italy.
The bright blue color named “Azzurro Dino” delivered to the first owner is a Dino exclusive color that is limited to less than 90 units in the total production of Ferrari Dino 246GT. It is a popular classic color that is also custom-ordered in the latest model Speciale.
In January 2016, full restoration work started at Carrozzeria Fantin, a workshop in Pertegada. This workshop has extensive experience mainly in 70’s Ferrari restorations and is recommended by Dino experts.
Using the only original parts, this Dino was fully restored to its original condition, making it a brand new car while maintaining its original condition. Images and all other proofs of record of this large scale restoration are kept along.
For the interior, the base dashboard trim and seat frame are reused, and the skin and sponge are reconstructed with new materials. From chic gray carpets to door linings to roof linings, everything is brand new.
The engine, mission, and carburetor were set up after the overhaul, which gives you the feeling of driving a new car.
The brake discs and damper units are also assembled with new parts. The suspension arm, brake caliper, etc. are incorporated by overhauling the original parts and repainting. In addition, electrical wiring, fuses, batteries, hydraulic hoses, etc. have all been replaced.
Full restoration was completed in January 2019 and the car was delivered to the owner. In December 2020, the owner, who had a long-standing friendship with the person in charge of LMP Cars Firenze Branch, handed it over to him. In February 2021, The car was applied for Ferrari Classiche Certificate and was officially accepted by the Ferrari S.P.A Classiche Department in Maranello. After this, it was airlifted to Japan in June 2021 and obtained a license plate in July.
After the full restoration work was completed, a test run was conducted and each part was adjusted, so everything is operating normally. Since the clutch is light and easy to grasp the meeting point, it is easy to start on a slope. Since the engine has a large torque, it was easy to lead the traffic in the city by revving the engine at 4,500 RPM. It should be noted that this car is good at high-speed corners and S-shaped corners. This is a benefit of the long wheelbase, lightweight vehicle weight, and double wishbone suspension. The accurate steering information is also amazing. We think that the pleasure of enjoying the comfortable acceleration and engine sound at higher revs is unique to Classic Dino. With this ride quality and ease of use, you’ll get great driving pleasure in any situation, from city to touring. We drove it for a short time, but we were happy to be able to fully enjoy the Classic Dino.
