      This song reminds me so much of myself and that I have forever so many decades lived my lifor the other person's needsThis song reminds me so much of myself and that I have forever so many decades lived my lifor the other person's needs And feeling full finding tsatisfaction but then it turned out to never be enough and I tried and try it as your song says Waiting for the light but it always ended And somehow I'm better alone Because what they wanted in me was the illusion of me not who I was And I couldn't play that were done healing and I was always drawn to people who were We're suffering hurting or needed help I never knew if I was really loved for who I was

The music 🎵 of Jackson Browne is a gift 💝 and a lot of hard work and practice and for the love ❤️ of MUSIC 🎶 it’s all about the music 🎼 and how it makes us feel sad ,happy, what we were and doing when we first heard a new Jackson Browne song 🎧 are alum that just came out and couldn’t wait to get to the record store to get and bring it home sit back with headphones 🎧 on and feeling so at peace ☮️ within our hearts ❤️ and our souls!!! Each alum each song 🎵 brings awesome memories and the joy we felt when he came on stage and began to let us in on his life and thoughts that make our thoughts come together and for a second we think we understand what he was saying and feeling!!       David Lindley RIP. Guitarist on the original recording. The guitar solo on this is a sublime piece of perfection. Without it the song would not be the work of art it is.

      This might seem a trivial comment but the one thing I've always loved about this song is the fact that the title only arrives with the very last 4 words of the lyrics. 😎
