  3. Just realized he messed up at 7:01 🙂 just a little fun fact. Otherwise phenomenal performance

Edit: and again at 8:29, just so I can be as much of a jerk as possible

Edit 2: imagine having to continue after the audience applauds after the first movement 😠

  5. The boy's got it! Waldstein reinforces the perception of Beethoven as having a direct phone line to the gods. Pray tell, otherwise, from whence such music comes?

  6. I would love to hear these guys play on a "old Steinway" Concert Grand !! … I feel like the "brightness" of these "newer" Steinways diminish their musicianship and ultimate talent..!!

  7. Kudos to the sound engineer for capturing the full rich power of the low notes, particularly in the 3rd mvt. There are many recordings where those get lost.

  8. Wonderful, your interpretation of Beethoven is absolutely fantastic my dear Lucas, what a pleasure to see you and listen to your music, you are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing 💖

  9. Lucas bursts on on the scene with intense energy and passion which he is able to sustain through out. He never tires so it seems. He has a storehouse of moods and they are expressed through his amazing fingers. Indeed, when I listen, any depression flees. Thank you!

  10. I've performed this piece and it's tricky. Get all the notes right, don't drag, don't pedal too much. It's fun at times and a quite a rush.

  11. One knows all the great performers with this well-known sonata by Beethoven. And what I liked most is that the youthful, free and very loose feeling is reproduced without feigned deep feeling, but very natural. Also, the softer touch is very pleasant, because one is used to the harshness of some male older colleagues the sforzati and extreme dynamics. The interpretation reproduces the type you see and that is authentic. Admirable performance.

  12. Classy, youcktube, totally "classy!" BRAVO 👎🏻👎👎🏽👎🏿👎🏻

Sadly, one has come to expect the uncultured, disrespectful imbeciles at the gaggle (aka gag me) / yucktube companies to totally destroy the some of the most sublime music, ever written, performed by one of the very top artists of the day! Their ceaseless, tasteless modus operandi is sure to turn off EVERY music lover, regardless of genre.

Extremely DISRESPECTFUL to the ARTIST, COMPOSER and AUDIENCE!

Perhaps yucktube, that so "bravely" demonetizes EVERYONE that has an alternate opinion from their FALSE NARRATIVE, should throw several coughing fits and cell phone ringtones into the performance?

  13. What I find fascinating about Utubes adds is they are placed evidently randomly as often they interrupt in the middle of a spoken sentence, or even, as here in the middle of a musical phrase rather than at a point that makes sense. As a result I either skip the add, when I can, or silence my sound until it’s over; hence they don’t reach me even it is something I might be interested in. I imagine others do the same, so those doing ads are driving people away rather than providing information at a point where people might pay attention

  14. Thank you so much Lucas, that was absolutely sublime. I really really love ❤️ every single moment of this. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤
