By compressing all 13.8 billion years of time into a 10 minute scale, this video shows just how young we truly are, and just how ancient and vast our universe is. Starting with the big bang and culminating in the appearance of homo sapiens, this experience follows the unfolding of time at 22 million years per second, adhering closely to current scientific understanding.

It can be difficult to fathom how long 13.8 billion years is. The more you watch this video, the more it sinks in just how stunningly old the universe is, and how magnificently tiny we humans are in the grand scheme. I hope seeing this experiment in humility makes you ponder the vast, unwitnessed ages that have passed before we came along, and the brevity of our existence in comparison.
Every event featured in this video is fascinating on its own, so I highly encourage anybody interested to dig deeper. Start with the Wikipedia page on geologic time and go from there to learn more about all the events featured within.

Almost the whole entire video I was screen recording and screen shifting in while thinking: great wallpaper for my phone 🗿💅
even 0.25x speed was too fast for me to catch up and i had to pause every second during the last bit when the different human like species were being shown
ths is amazing
incroyable
Don’t like that you skipped the first Snowball Earth event and only mentioned the second one, but besides that this was very good
This is awesome! But how do we know what we know about space?
Propaganda
Nothing suddenly just appears randomly. It was all designed and created with intelligent design, beauty and function. Each and every creature and celestial body serving a purpose that it was created for.
Can you believe this was only created in 6 days

Every time I watch this, I cry in awe at the end. Thanks to exist, melodysheep.
Fastest way to calculate an objects rotation by using this method:
If a sphere is 1 mile in diameter and if it rotates half a mile every second then the time it takes for the sphere to rotate is 2 seconds
Dude the video has 13 million view
Props to the cameraman who travelled before time
I’m currently in my room, eating takis, a human snack food, drinking a can of Dr Pepper, a carbonated drink that humans developed. We find it to be such a big deal that certain species of animals are now using simple tools like rocks, sticks, leaves, etc. what made us able to make complex tools?
It's amazing how fast our evolution took place after the asteroid.
Isso só mostra o quão insignificante os humanos são perto do universo…
0:34 My mind after seeing this video and the time-lapse of the future: ERROR 404 not found: Universe.exe is unavailable.
props to the camera man for existing before time itself
Did I hear Brian Cox's voice 🤔 😍

Credits to the camerman for going through all of this.
I may be religious, but I find stuff like this so fascinating
