It sounds like the perfect scam for people to use who aren't really in the industry. The way my trust level is set up I would've missed out on every opportunity
That's like how my favorite director was thinking about a part for me in one of his shows and he literally came up to me during a different rehearsal and said "let's go to the band room since no one is in there and it's spacious" and then followed it up with "I'm going to ask u to do a bunch of weird stuff" when I tell that story people are like "huh?!"
