he was trained in SM and the company planned to have him as a main vocal in a Rock band with Jungmo (Trax), that means his vocal is at the level of a main vocalist. All Suju members can sing well. Yesung, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun can serve as main vocalists because their voices have unique vibe which suits Suju's song. That some of them are appointed as main vocalists does not mean that others can not sing.

Heechul really suits rock ballads, and suju songs don't always call for that. Which is why some people criticise his voice, yet he can pull off tone and style unlike so many of the other members. They are all so talented, but have different specialities.
