  1. Ova Dio lost because of his overconfidence in his own and not fully using The World.

Part 3 Dio lost because of him not using his vampiric powers to the fullest.

So yeah Dio could've won if he balance his vampiric power and stand power…

  2. The ova made the fight look more realistic and brutal, especially with the more gory and less shiny affects, it also goes how much more the stands are strong in terms of strength, star platinum literally breaks a building and throws it at dio, meanwhile the dp version doesn’t show any cool shit like that.
It’s also really cool how instead of them showing weird ass glowing affects with jotaro and flying, it makes them actually look like their flying. It’s also really cool how instead of the dp version where dio uses Joseph’s blood, barrages jotaro and then instantly uses road roller/oil tank to try to kill jotaro. Meanwhile the ova tries to show an actual fight and not an instant cheap shot from dio.
The ova also shows how pissed jotaro can get, because due to dio just killing civilians in the train, jotaro gets pissed and breaks a building and fucking throws it at dio. Tbh if the ova had better voice actors and not awkward silence I would prefer the ova already more then I prefer the dp version.
Edit: dp stands for David productions

  3. I like how they treated Polnareff’s sneak attack better. Rather than it being basically useless, it gives Jotaro the opening he needs to land a hit on Dio

  4. as much as i love DP and how theyve managed to adapt jojo, this version blows theirs straight out of the water, the atmosphere, the animation, the tension, i mean when dio stops time he just teleports everwhere its not something draw out too much its so fcking cool. funny thing is i feel the same way about HXH 1999 vs the 2011 version, 2011 is fun and super well made but 1999 has crazy atmosphere and a mood that just suits the story perfectly. something about 90s anime just suits these stories better than their modern counterparts, maybe its the quality of the animation or the fact that it was all done on cels or smn idk but its smn that i dont tink can be replicated again for better or for worse.

  5. OVA is from Joseph's perspective and shows how scary and horrifying DIO's power 「The World」 is, and how Jotaro is struggling to keep up with him from toe to toe. From Joseph's perspective, it is just like fighting with the Ultimate Being himself, but more riskier and dangerous.
DIO looks initially surprised but not shocked out of his mind, like that he considered the possibility of encountering someone someday that can move in stopped time. He looks calm and calculated who will waste no time in ending his enemies' life in a second. DIO after learning his newfound power begins to take Jotaro more seriously and his trying to end him in each and every attack. Jotaro is cautious and scared for his life and is trying to make no foolish moves without any risks involved.
The recent fight, 2015 ver. , is from Jotaro's perspective which shows how DIO is like a psychopathic maniac who has a tendency to take things on the next level and how of a pyschological hazard 「The World」can be, even after「Star Platinum」has learned to mimic his ability , especially used by someone with DIO's mindset can be.
DIO there looks shocked out his mind after meeting someone that can resist his ability, he not even thought about it. He still actively looks down on Jotaro and is trying to play with him. He still thinks that no matter what he does, he is still a measly human at end of the day and is nothing more than food to him and his kind who are destined to bow before him after he attains his desired body.

  6. やっぱり昔の作画、ぬるぬるでいいんだけど、迫力には欠けるし、致命的なのが音響全てが眠気を誘う
