  1. I'd love to see some more Enhypen content. Maybe some live performances, since you've reacted to so many dance practices.

I would really enjoy that !!!

  2. What a series and HOLY FINALE Chris! Thank you! Wish it would keep going infinitely! Thank you 5hinee for 15 years of trend setting brilliance! We are soooooo blessed!

  3. Thank you for the reactions!
DId you know that Rino Nakasone who choreographed a lot of SHINee and Girls' Generation's songs was a member of Beat Freaks.
    Sorry for my poor English.

  4. ChrisStillBeTalkin 😂 Definitely suits you… because ChrisLovesToTalk 🤣
Watching you was definitely a challenge. Thank you for your SHINee Weekly Reaction experience.

  5. Such a wonderful finale, thank you! And thank you for SHINee week, which will turn into SHINee months and SHINee years for me, as I replay your videos and look at your new content. I'm happy that you use your perspective as a dancer and performer to react to our shining SHINee period in replay. If you saw the original mv and stages, you will see that Taemin was rocking out to his very first solo as a 14 year old main dancer of this Forever Five iconic group of my heart 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵 Looking forward to Taemin's next chapter 💜

  6. Shinee was built around Jonghyun. He didn’t like being called lead vocal but he was and gave lines away mostly to Taemin as he worked with him. He did write for Shinee, Taemin, other artist and himself. For Shinee he wrote for their vocal color stretching out the lines in a song better. Shinee was SM’s experiment (2008) changing the K-pop sound and range for the artist today. A true contemporary group. As someone who works in the Hwd industry I appreciate their story and the hard work it takes to maintain their level of performance. I love live stages because you can’t hide behind marketing and studio fixes. Shinee concerts are 3-31/2 hours long and Ring Ding Dong-Lucifer in this concert was the end of a section (half way point). ***I can’t wait to see the individual focus video’s when you do them.

  7. Thank you Chris for this wonderful SHINee series..it was so much fun watching your reaction..yes I would love a SHINee part 2 please..your bias is taemin but you fell for all of them..😂🥰 I was laughing when you said you knew somebody's getting ready when they take of their jacket..I think you should check out their concert performance for their song DYNAMITE…I would love to see your reaction there😁😊.. anyways it was so much fun..more power to your channel.. hope to see more SHINee content 🥰😊

  8. Fantastic SHINee series, really looked forward to what sort of compilation you would have the next day! Hopefully there'll be more in the future because there is an endless amount to discover with SHINee. Plus Taemin will have an album out this year so :))

  9. "Ring Ding Dong" — which is a classic in the Kpop industry that originally was released in 2010 — was the opening song of that set. Right before this, Taemin had performed his solo song "Goodbye (Sayonara Hitori)" while the other members were changing their clothes, so if you notice, you don't see him in the beginning because it took him a little longer to get redressed. However, you can still hear Taemin's voice in the beginning of the song because he was actually singing his lines while finishing getting ready from backstage. You see him pop up from underneath the stage and join them a few seconds into the performance. That's how good they are at what they do. They still give 110% no matter what, and sound perfect even while multitasking. 😉

And, if you watch this full concert, you will see that this set is about 1 hour and 20 minutes into their 3 1/2 hour concert. If you think this performance was good, just wait until you see a full set or the full concert, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVo4BqXy-T8. 😀 They are impressive when you see them perform one song, but when you see how much passion and energy they use for a full set, and even a full concert, and still are able to maintain stable vocals while singing live the whole time, you will be even more blown away.

This concert was SHINee's SHINee World Concert V (SWC5) in Seoul, so it was in 2016. You can tell this concert is in 2016 because Minho has gray hair, which means this was during their "1 Of 1" promotions, which was their title track from their comeback in 2016. You will see they have the same look and style in their "1 of 1" MV. Minho dyes his hair so infrequently, and each of the member's hairstyles usually change so dramatically for every comeback because of their effort to continually be trendy, that you often can tell what era something is part of just by the members' hair colors and styles.

This was their 5th world tour — and at this point they had already held more than 100 concerts in their career. So Onew and Jonghyun were about 27, Minho and Key were about 25 and Taemin was around 23.

If you are impressed with Jonghyun's long high note in "Lucifer" — which is about 20 seconds long — just wait. Jonghyun is known for his amazing vocal abilities that is why he is considered one of the BEST vocalists of all time. What you just heard is normal when it comes to Jonghyun, especially when he performs live. However, although Jonghyun has some impressive high notes, it doesn't even come close to what Onew can do. Check out Onew's performance of "Friend," where he broke the record for the longest continuous note without changing tone or pitch, at 40+ seconds. All the members of SHINee can hit impressive high notes. Even Minho who is the main rapper and the one with the deepest voice out of all of them, has been known to hit some amazing high notes on occasion. SHINee are considered vocal powerhouses for a reason.

What you just heard was the remixed version of "Ring Ding Dong" and "Lucifer," so you may have noticed they were a little different than what you heard in the MVs for both of these songs. SHINee never performs a song the same way twice, so it's always a new experience no matter how many times you have seen or heard them perform the song. That's why SHINee concerts are considered one of the best concerts in the world.

Their performance of "Replay" is the last song in their opening set — about 28 minutes into their performance — where they had just performed 5 others songs right before this. That is why they look so sweaty. Before this they perform: "Hitchhiking," "Married to the Music", "Why So Serious", "Juliette", "Prism" and then "Replay." You've seen several of these MVs, so you know how intense the choreography is, and yet, look how flawless they still sound when they sing "Replay."

SHINee live are always 300 times better than any of their studio recordings, and it's almost guaranteed that if someone doesn't vibe with one of their songs right away, the minute they see them perform it live, they gain a whole new appreciation for he song and it almost always becomes their new favorite. It's called the SHINee effect. That's why their live performances are considered the top in the industry.

What you just experienced is why, even as rookies, SHINee was so highly respected by everyone, including their seniors. Their live vocal ability while performing intense choreography was something no one else was doing at the time, and people were blown away by how perfect their singing and harmonies were. Even still today, SHINee is the group that everyone looks up to and wants to be like.

  10. My 4 iconic dances Big Bang made concert bang bang bang, this dance Shinee ringdingdong and L. Taemin one by one, soldier and press your number solo at Shinee IV, I think, and Super Junior Burn the Floor, (hard to choose)

  11. RDR & Lucifer live performance is iconic ❤ miss Jonghyun so much! Definitely want a SHINee Part 2! Look forward to it!❤❤❤

  12. Shinees live performances are literally amazing~ definitely watch their concert performance for everybody 🥲🥲🥲 classic classic

  13. Thank you so much for this series, I hope you do a part 2, because SHINee has so much music and funny moments, they are my ult group, and also Jonghyun is my ult bias so I love them so much, I'm so sorry that I didn't listen to their music sooner, because they came to my country a year before I listened to kpop and them, I missed the only chance to see Jonghyun on stage. Despite all that, 5HINee is still 5 and will forever be 5.

  14. Nooooo! Not the finale!! 😢 Hope you do more reaction to the amazing SHINee 🙏🥰💎💎💎💎💎 thank you for all your great reaction!!

  15. There is a Dream Girl comeback stage in which SHINee Minho broke the mic stand in 3 places and were scattered on stage and Key, Onew, and another member moved the pieces away while not interrupting the choreo. They could've rerecorded but it was done so seamlessly that they didn't rerecord. You should look it up. There's videos that put the incident in slow motion so you could see the details. Also the video you watched didn't show you enough of the details in the choreo like Onew twirling around the moc stand like a cheerleading baton or when the members move the stands around to perform certain dance sequences.

  16. If you noticed, SHINee was in energy conservation mode, especially Taemin because he had just done his solo, "Goodbye". In fact, Taemin got to the song late because he had to change, so Jonghyun picked up his first line. Then, midway through the song, Taemin said "Let's go". I think that was the signal that he was ready and then they all started to pick up on the dancing. However, then when "Lucifer" started, they went OFF and there was a flood of energy. You should really see the rock version of "Lucifer" at Tokyo Dome. It's AMAZING!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuFl8BjMCKc

"Dream Girl" gave SHINee 4 successive award show wins, effectively causing the show to limit the amount of comeback songs for a group to just 3 wins thereafter.

Thank you so much, Chris, for doing our boys proud and appreciating them. I've always loved your reactions for SHINee and our guys' solo work. Hopefully we will get a Taemin album soon, and we can all geek out with his choreos and beautiful voice.
BTW: The entire "Hard" album is a masterpiece of showcasing their vocal skills.

  17. Key's voice, for me, is one of the easiest to pick out. He has a much sharper, fuller tone than the honey line (Jjong, Onew and Taemin).

  18. Dongkiz's Lupin!! Yes I love the choreo there too with their magic wand.
Wow SHINee week is over. Thank you for this!! See you again for the SHINee week next time!!

  19. SHINee week Part 2! Yes, please!

Question: do you like ballads? I’m assuming since you’re a Melody that you appreciate amazing vocals 😃 coz SHINee has some of the most beautiful ballads:
I recommend checking out live performances from their concerts of:

    – Please don’t go (Onew and Jonghyun duet)
    – Don’t Let Me Go
    – An Encore
    – Selene 6.23
    – Farewell My Love
    – Romantic
    – Sleepless Night

  20. Much as I love Shinee, most iconic dance move is still Girls' generation – Genie, no one beats those legs!
Shinee live is always the best, glad you ended on a concert stage.
