  1. Same! I didnt expect this much production quality and budget,,, literally had shivers when i saw it for the first time ,sadly did miss the amount of onew we couldve gotten.
Tho funnily enough the first two tracks are hard comparatively to the rest of the album, im sure itll be a good listen when you do a listening party
As usual thank u pd-nim for your reaction and analysis 💙💚

  2. 20 years listening to Kpop and I’m just astound by SHINee. Their determine and drive to consistency deliver is incredible! They add so much spice and continue to maintain integrity to their sound and performance. Like they didn’t have to go this hard but decided to do so anyway!

  3. Thank you for your reaction to SHINee! I think the performance of Picasso went pretty hard, and the members say that Don't Call Me was a harder choreo than HARD or Juice. The camera work, lighting, special effects, and editing of this Juice performance video is fire. There's a video of BoA interviewing SHINee (on her show that I want to see, ep. 19 of K-909) and she asks about Taemin's rapping in HARD, and he said that Kenzie thought it was cute and she laughed so much when she heard him, lol. I like your description of their moves as reckless with aftershocks. The legion of dancers are in sync and are extensions of Taemin, Key , and Minho as they tell their story through every fiber of their beings. Taemin is such an elegant dancer and he brings his incomparable color to the unique SHINee swag. That broken arm wave Taemin does, wow! Dem Jointz, just wow! Yes, I love how you called out the event horizon shot and how epic this whole production is! Looking forward to Onew's return and future SHINee activities as well as Taemin's next chapter. Your reaction and analysis is always appreciated.

  4. Whoever produces for SHINee has understood their journey and has then taken them to the next level. There's a certain musicality that the older generations bring to the table (remember Big Bang's Still Life?) which comes from experience….

SHINee have never been afraid to experiment and each of the members have the vocal and the dance chops to take on literally anything. I agree with everyone about this being Minho's era but Taemin back from the military is hitting those pops and moves harder than he ever has. And I guess till Onew is back, Key will doing the heavy lifting, vocally.

  5. I think the Juice Performance video is best appreciated when shots are clipped out and isolated, so they can be taken in individually. When this many amazing cinematic shots and transitions and choreo moments are all together, it can feel overwhelming and like they pass by so quickly. But if you were to clip out the entire video into 2 seconds clips, each clip would be amazing and breathtaking on its own.

  6. This year taemin will release his new album too. Let's wait for it.

*He said it yesterday at the cafe day.

  7. SHINee is just legend. they're at their 15th year and they didn't even retired yet, and they're already legendary. all of the idols after them can never have the potential to be compared to them. and that's why being a Shawol is the biggest flex ever. you can never go wrong with SHINee and they keep on surprising everybody with every comeback

  8. I like the douchey aspect of this song. It is so aggressively douchey.

But for me, IDENTITY is the one. It is a gay ass anthem where the boys are really feeling themselves. Their lesbionic fandom will live for that one.

  9. I loved Juice as soon as I saw/heard it while watching the concert. Then I listened to the whole album and confirmed that it's my favorite, even though all the other b-sides are amazing. I didn't think there was a chance they'd choose it as the "couple song" to do their first week on music shows since it's got a similar kind of intensity to Hard, but thankfully they DID & I've got a bunch o performances to enjoy in addition to this top notch performance video. And it made sense once I heard that Juice was a contender for the title track. I wish they'd picked it instead of Hard, but it still got nearly the full treatment so I'm content.

  10. I think Onew's absence may be why they went extra hard this comeback, since he is usually the one who provides the softer more lyrical component of their songs. Without him they naturally have to adjust their style.

  11. Dude. You said everything I felt, and just said it better. So I'll just subscribe and jot down YOUR KEY POINTS that I strongly resonate with!

19:13 "That's an 11 out of 10 baby, that is not a 10 out of 10. That's the best performance video I saw."
20:30 "This could easily be a title track video." (👇followed by words of great wisdom)
20:44 "Shinee is at that status and level all of their songs = title track worthy at this point." (OH YES, OH YES.)

And your melodramatic 16:05 "if this is what like the gates to heaven feel like I'm okay with dy*ing right now"… That makes me LOL HARD, because that's what SHINee guys do to Shawols every live or video performance, thank you very much!

I enjoy this reaction more knowing that you ain't a Shawol, 'cause that knowledge made every visceral response Key Taemin Minho triggered in you feel much sweeter. So thank you for the upfront disclosure. You got another new sub, not that you need it these days! Keep up the gut level love for music!

  12. I agree that SHINee hasn't really gone this HARD for title tracks before, but to be fair, this genre is not really strange or new to them, because when they debuted, they experimented with this genre as well and if I would play this one song for you, you would think it was from HARD album xD but otherwise, yes, going this hard for hip hop is new xD and they slay <3

  13. I love how they blended so well with the dancers, that I lost where they were in the formation. usually, the idols choreography is slightly different so they can stand out.

  14. After working on Juice, SHINee went crazy looking for the perfect song for The Title. Juice could be postponed to her repackaged album, but it is SHINee's confidence that made it into her b-side track. Her juice performance video should remain a textbook. The scene changes quickly and the composition is diverse. However, the transition is so natural that you don't even notice the flow of the cut transition. Juice is crazy. And the most important thing is that each of them has a different style, but it is a harmonious shin. SHINee did not only accumulate years of experience, but also accumulated skills, visuals, and experience. I dare to say that they are the best among existing groups.

  15. the director really understood what the performance brings; where it can be accentuated to make the fullest impact. I think we take that for granted a lot. While SHINee may probably have been easy to direct given their level of talent, the fact that they were complemented by their entire production crew really makes this production insane and top tier!!

  16. The choreographer for this song is a dance crew name wedemboyz or WDBZ!! They really did a good job in this song tbh 💚💚💚💚

  17. They did before but not this big
They have Get down ..SHINee world and other bsides that hav a more hip hop portion to it but never full hip hop comeback

  18. "We are going to show you how it is really done" … For the new and for the olds. 15 years in music and even so, they adapt to the times, to the new generations, with MUSIC, VOICES, DANCE, PRODUCTION and a truly IMPECCABLE album. Proud of them.

  19. There is actually a lot of intense and big performance choreo during their concerts haha Juice MV looks like a concert stage with a very good video director hahaha

  20. I’m a fan of PD, but I feel like he’s been waayyyyyy off with his feedback recently. He is clearly a big fan of 4th Gen. He raves about the new groups. It’s obviously his taste of music. But his opinions are not reflective of the Kpop scene. The older groups and 3rd Gen groups are still creating way more hype than the 4th Gen. the biggest girl group right now is probably G-IDLE. (3rd Gen). The big successful female solo idols are Lisa, Jisoo, hwasa and Taeyeon. (All 2nd and 3rd Gen). Same with boy groups. The most hyped comebacks of 2023 have been Shinee and EXO and TWICE. Mamamoo just completed a sell out world tour. TWICE just announced a world tour. Junkook and Jimin solo comebacks were insane. Sure, the 4th Gen groups are getting international attention. FIFTY FIFTY had the song of the summer… but does anyone even know the members? IVE have had some big hits… but again, more popular with very young Kpop fans. And…. It’s important to point out that when older groups have a comeback they get huge streaming numbers, chart success and lots of music show wins. Shinee HARD got 5 music show wins. SNSD last comeback got music show wins, and I’m pretty sure EXO will get a few trophy’s. So… we get it, 4th Gen is here and there are a million new groups…. But let’s stop pretending the older groups are tired. They really aren’t.

  21. No, Shinee has ABSOLUTELY done hard hitting hip hop and rock songs before lol. They were originally trained to be a hip-hop group. Check out Amigo, Shout Out, Alive, does no one remember Dont Call Me?. This is NOT new territory for them, and while Shinee can make any genre theirs, its not true that they have never done harder songs. I don't like the preconception that they havent because people are like OMG Shinee wants to reinvent themselves gen group like NCT, and its just factually untrue.
