Certain people claim when some of us express that Taeyong is not getting the recognition, the support, the backing of SM that somehow we are being paranoid,. Now he expresses what we all felt. There was no paranoia. The lyrics are here to tell the story. I never believed his hiatus was due only to a physical injury, I knew there was something more here. Taeyong is easy to read. A true artist cannot pretend. He shows what and how he feels. Through his lives, his posts, his words, his face expressions….. In this track he tells about greed and slavery to greed. Yes, because the music industry is not about music, it is not about the art, the creativity. It is about business. They sell products, manufactured, inauthentic and with the help of their partners, Radio DJ's, Streaming platforms, which tell you what's « it » , what you should listen to and buy. SM is investing all their energy into the junior groups. They are targeting a younger, very young population. And they are doing it at the expense of their other artists who get less press, less push, less of everything. Big Hit has another strategy which seems to work. Putting all the gas, all the power behind BTS and all that energy transfers to their younger groups. The numbers are here to prove them right. TAEYONG feels unappreciated, maybe used even, as SM has been selling him as the visual, the center, a pretty boy, the leader blah blah when in fact he is a real artist who wants to create and express himself. It is obvious they are pushing him aside, lately. Him opening his IG and SoundCloud was clearly the breaking point. He understood he only, could be his own representation. Real artists do not comply to the norms, to the rules.
