When you think about it, 20 seconds is actually very impressive given that this is probably the first time he's actually used it, and the fact that this is still a VERY early version of the armor, let alone the first portable one.
At a certain point, anyone who knows Tony must assume that everything he owns must be a suit. Car? A suit. Briefcase? Suit. House? Probably has a suit or two.
