BALLET – Youth America Grand Prix 2013 – Giselle Bethea – La Esmeralda Variation

    Giselle Bethea performs a variation from the ballet La Esmeralda at the YAGP New York Finals in 2013.

    Gisele Bethea happens to be the youngest invitee to participate in the competition at the Moscow International Ballet Competition where she won a silver medal. She was a strong contestant against many in the World Ballet competition USA, and received a gold medal in the category of Junior Division at the 2014 USA IBC.

    Every aspiring and star ballet dancer follows a path to their dream. At Youth America Grand Prix, we are proud of the fact that many of today’s star ballet dancers and ballerinas, from world-famous companies such as New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Paris Opera Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, the Royal Ballet and Dutch National Ballet, chose to make YAGP a part of their journey from the studio to the largest stages around the world.

      Giselle is the perfect example of a perfect ballerina! She has an amazing pointe and she is so dedicated to dance! I can watch her dance all day and not be bored. She just has the shimmer and sparkle that makes the whole audience fall silent! She also makes everything look so easy!

      Her arches are *gorgeous*. This variation is also not a common one at competitions which makes it all the better! (The judges are probably so tired of watching like 600 Kitri Act 3/Aurora Wedding/Black Swan variations lol)
