  1. Thank you for the reaction to Don't Call Me. It's funny last night I was watching a video of them in the recording studio for this song and I think it was Taemin saying he wondered how fans would take/like the song bc it was a bit different from, I guess, their other songs. I enjoyed watching the process of them each in the recording booth. Taemin was having a little bit of trouble hitting those notes and it was cute lol. He was like why is it so high I was doing it home lol. The one with the red hair in Minho and when you said he came in shirtless I said to myself, well he is called the flaming charisma lol (that really is a name the fans gave him.) He also currently has a new KDrama on Netflix it's a RomCom and he's done a few. He's a good actor from what I have seen. All of them have solo music/music videos you might enjoy.
I don't know if you've done any videos on Taemin but there is 1 or 2 on his voice history. In the beginning he was not a good singer. Everyone knew that even the guys in the group. He was their front dancer but he wanted to be more. He wanted to be good at singing as well. Because his voice was changing, no one wanted to help train him and told him to basically give it up. The videos show how he worked at it and never gave up to the amazing singer he is today. You may want to check them out in your down time. Have a Happy and safe New Year!!

  2. The guy with the red hair in this video is Minho! He just released an album earlier this month, his very first solo album. I recommend checking out his music video for the title track, Chase. It's very cinematic and you can tell he put his film degree and acting chops to great use.

Also, we're all so happy he finally released a solo album, and on top of that, it completes a series of "plagiarism" albums SHINee began after Taemin's first album ACE in 2014. From there, Jonghyun released BASE, KEY released FACE, Jinki (Onew) released VOICE, and finally Minho completed the sequence with CHASE. It's super cool and unique to them as a group. They're icons! I hope you react to more SHINee in the future, they're called the Princes of Kpop for a reason! Thanks for this video!

  3. I feel that you should watch Ring Ding Dong by them it's a very extra catchy song I think you will love it the live versions are the best to watch for it tho there awesome live

  4. Thank you for reacting to Shinee! I would recommend you also their older production when they were still 5 🥺 they have almost 15 years of outstanding tracks both in korean and japanese to pick from. Especially amazing live performances. But they also are amazing solo performers!
As live performances as a group, you could have a look to:
Stranger, Sherlock, Excuse Me Miss from Shinee World IV concert.
Why So Serious, Alive, Trigger from Shinee World V concert.
    Everybody live at Tokio Dome
Picasso, Password, Evil, Hitchiking, Nightmare, Dynamite live.
Aaaand…. Ring Ding Dong + Lucifer live (always from SWC V).
Let's not forget that Shinee were incredible when singing ballads… Quasimodo, Romeo and Juliet, Sleepless Night, AN Encore, Better, Romantic….and the wonderful Selene 6.23 written by beloved Jonghyun. You can find all of them live.
If you want me to, I could also suggest some of their individual works…

  5. I think shinee excuse me miss will show you there amazing performance skills. Plus the song is to die for. Pleeeease react to taemins solo stuff you will be blown away I pinky promise you. Try taemins advice and get ready for some great shit man. Thank you again I will be here waiting for taemin and shinee.

  6. I saw your key's gazoline reaction and you was wondering about is it a band or one person, key is part of shinee,i love you reactions shinee are one of my favorite bands and NCT is my ultimate group i hope you react more to them too.

  7. Amazing reaction 🤩, I just love that you love too. If you want to start getting it would be best to start with Taemin, since he's the first one out of the group to have a solo career, and fun fact he's the only idol still active that went through 3 generations of kpop, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, and 4th gen. If you want some suggestions, you can start Danger by him and then Idea, Criminal, Move, Want and etc. Would love to see you check these songs out and can't wait till your next video

  8. I would recomend "replay' from their Shinee world concert 4, " Lucifer/ringdingdong", "why so serious" From their Shinee world 5, "hitchhiking" From now on concert 2018, theres too many awesome performances..

  9. Yessss Shineee <3 you should react to (I mean theres a looot)…🤣
Sherlock (clue+note), Lucifer, Ring Ding Dong, Everybody, Why so serious?, Juliette, Goodnight, Our page and more recent, Atlantis 🙌

  10. This song was originally given to Boa but she said a group needed to perform it. From what I heard, Minho heard it and convinced the rest of SHINee that they should try it. I hope they come back in May with a song just as powerful.

  11. great reaction i love this song too, please react to sherlock the video is great and so is the song another great shine song is everybody would love to see your reaction to either of those songs

  12. Onew who is shinee leader now after passing of jonghyun .he's got an amazing voice, try his solo 2 mini album* dice*, plus a Japanese album. Shinee also have Japanese songs.

  13. I started as a SHAWOL, then became ARMY.
As much as I love the boys and wish them luck, I find it hard to watch them at times since the loss of one of their members. I do listen to their songs, just dont watch their mv's unless I know I can handle it.

  14. So, different topic but based on the movies you’ve mentioned, I highly recommend the drama ‘Beyond Evil’. Definite revenge storyline as a cop tries to figure out what happened to his sister years before. Or is he responsible? Duh duh… Younger actor is the hugely popular Yeo Jin Goo.

  15. my favorite shinee song is “hello”; it’s just so cute & upbeat! & the live performances are so adorable as well.. plus seeing jonghyun in that mv always makes me so nostalgic of my early kpop journey🥰💛

  16. Thank you for another great SHINee reaction. Minho has the red hair. He just recently released his first solo album, "Chase". Since Taemin has been doing solo work since 2014, he's the prolific soloist, but Key is definitely catching up. Onew has had two recent albums, "Dice" (Korean) and "Life Goes On" (Japanese). Jonghyun has several self-written albums. The last of which, "Poet" was released posthumously in 2018.

REMEMBER, you asked for this…For live performances for SHINee, you should definitely react to "Sherlock". It's a rite of passage for all new SHINee fans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4pINahBoRY Some others are:

    Enjoy!

  17. Thank you for reacting to SHINee!! These boys are known for their amazing live vocals and performances which granted them the title "CD-nee" because they sound even greater live than in a studio track. I highly recommend watching their live performances of "Stranger" and "Sherlock (clue+note)" from SHINee world IV. If you want to hear amazing live ballads I would recommend watching "Selene 6.23" and "Sleepless Night". Each of the 5 SHINee members have unique voices and together make some of the best music in kpop.

  18. Oh I'm glad you asked. Shinee are the KINGS of lives. Their lives are better than the studio versions.

Anything from their SWC 4 Tour is amazing, performance-wise.

    Sherlock from SWC4
    Excuse Me Miss SWC4
    Why So Serious from SWC5

  19. With "Don't Call Me," SHINee are just doing what we have all come to expect from them — showing us something that has never been seen or heard before and starting a new trend. Nothing you hear from them will ever be like anything you have ever seen or heard before. They raise the bar even higher with every comeback. And that's what makes them SHINee. 😀 With every new song release, SHINee are expected to come out with a style and sound that is brand new, not only for them, but in the industry as a whole. And "Don't Call Me" is a perfect example of that.

What you just experienced is exactly what makes SHINee legends. And this is the reason why they are so highly respected, and why almost everyone in the industry who came after them cites them as one of their biggest influences and one of the reasons why they wanted to become a singer and dancer, etc.

SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups. They are always setting trends, never following them. SHINee where designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to create the trend. With every new song SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from them in any of their songs, even on the same album, and yet, somehow it will always sound like SHINee. The reinvent the industry with every new release.

The industry looks to SHINee to show them what the next song style and dance trend will be. And it is said that within 3 months of SHINee releasing their new song and choreography, you will see that same sound and style being duplicated across the industry with every comeback to follow from both boy groups and girl groups. When SHINee does something the industry takes note and follows suit. SHINee has started the trend with almost everything — with every one of their songs to their dances to clothing trends, to live performances, to the way Kpop is promoted — there is almost nothing that can't be attributed to something SHINee has been involved in.

You just discovered why SHINee still hold one of the top spots after more than 14 years in the industry. If you are impressed now, just wait until you go through their entire discography of songs and MVs. So far, they have 13 full-length albums (7 Korean albums and 6 Japanese albums), several repackaged albums, a multitude of mini albums, numerous OSTS, they each have solo songs and albums and there are hundreds of live performances that will absolutely leave you speechless with their talent. And it only gets more and more impressive as you follow them through their career. They have accomplished a lot in the past 14+ years and they are one of the groups that made Kpop what it is today. However, if you want to see where SHINee truly shines, you have to see their live performances.

SHINee are part of the second generation of Kpop and, yet, they are younger than most everyone in their generation and are the same age or even younger than many members of groups who came after them, such as EXO and BTS, etc., which are part of Kpop's third generation. SHINee debuted young and have the experience of seasoned veterans.

When SHINee debuted in 2008, Onew (the leader and lead vocalist) was 18, Jonghyun (the main vocalist and a songwriter) had just turned 18, Minho (the main rapper and sub-vocalist) and Key (lead vocalist and sub-rapper) were 16 and Taemin (Main dancer and lead vocalist) was 14. However, now SHINee are known for the fact that there are no longer any fixed roles in their group. The main vocalists can rap, the rappers can fill in as main vocalists and they're all impressive dancers. SHINee are some of the most well respected artists in the industry.

Onew (Pronounced Oh-New in English or On-New with a Korean accent, real name Lee JinKi) — the one with the hoodie — is the leader of the group and he has one of the most unique voices in the industry. (Onew means, or sounds like, the Korean words for soft or gentle, so he was given his stage name because he has a very calm and gentle personality.) He is one of the most coveted male voices that all other singers dream of getting a chance to collaborate with. His vocals are unmatched. He even holds the record (40+ seconds) for the longest continuous note without changing tone or pitch.

Key — the one with the feather headpiece — is our fashionista of the group who is SHINee's stylist for a lot of their MVs and stage outfits*. SHINee are known for setting trends and never being afraid to experiment, so Key is recognized for really paying attention to detail when it comes to fashion. He has a reputation for always being unique and wanting to stand out. He is an amazing singer and is a sub-rapper in the group. He is also considered SHINee's dance copy machine. Key has the ability to see and remember choreography the fastest in the group. He has a photographic memory when it comes to choreography, so he only needs to watch the dance once and he has it memorized. He is also SHINee's fluent English speaker, and he is almost as good as a native speaker.

*Pearl Aqua is SHINee's fan color, so all the blue/green aqua colors you see in this MV are meant to represent SHINee. That is why in the scene where they are wearing the brown outfits, Key has the aqua yarn woven into his sweater and why the collar of Onew's jacket was dyed aqua, etc.

Minho — the one with the red hair — is the main rapper and visual of the group, but his vocals are also some of the best in the industry. Minho sings just as much as he raps. He also writes most of his own raps in SHINee's songs. Minho is a top actor and he has starred in numerous dramas and movies. He is also known as a star athlete. He says these days he goes to the gym a couple of times a day to work out just because he likes to work out, but he is also crazy about soccer, and he plays basketball, baseball and golf, and he is good at track and field events, etc., as well. And not only does he enjoy playing all those sports, but he is usually the best athlete on the field and he pretty much wins every time. Minho's nickname is "Flaming Charisma," and one reason is for his intense passion for sports and his need to always win.

And, Taemin — the one with the blond highlights and the white bandana — is considered one of THE BEST dancers in the industry (one of the top 2 best dancers of all dancers in Kpop), and that's not just by fans but by everyone in the industry, including his peers. Taemin's nickname is the Korean Michael Jackson. He is also one of the most popular male solo artists and he is a member of the Kpop supergroup SuperM. Taemin truly is art when it comes to his performances.

Although Jonghyun wasn't in the MV — because he passed away more than 5 years ago now — in order to get to know SHINee, you have to get to know him as well. He is known as one of the best vocalist in Kpop whose voice was unmatched. He also was one of the most prolific songwriters and composers of his generation. Jonghyun wrote and composed almost 40% of SHINee's songs, plus he wrote all of his own solo songs and numerous songs for other artists, such as EXO's "Playboy" and songs for Taemin, IU and Lee HI, etc. He was one of the only SM artists to be given complete artistic control over his work, including several of SHINee's song selections. SM knew that if Jonghyun was involved in any way that the song would be a hit. He was extremely respected within the industry as a songwriter, composer and singer. He was one of the very first Idols to be known for this songwriting and composing skills.

SHINee are one of the top groups that are known for the fact that they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. Once you get to know their voices you will always be able to pick them out of a crowd just by the sound of their voice. Most fans (SHINee World or Shawol for short) will tell you we know who is speaking or singing within 1 second even with our eyes closed, with them standing in a crowd of screaming fans. Each of their voices are that special — there is no one with a voice like any of theirs. That is why they are "The Princes of Kpop".

SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing, therefore, they avoid it at all costs. When you hear SHINee singing, 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between the fans and the members that when SHINee lip syncs you can tell because it's very obvious. So, unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, SHINee will always sing live. They have trained their entire career to build endurance and stamina in order to be able to sing live and continue to sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography for more than 3 hours straight in concert. SHINee set the standard. That is why they are so highly respected among their peers. It is literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard all other groups strive to reach.

You should also check out SHINee's live performance stage for "Don't Call Me," https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3103Su_-cM. (If you like the piano in this song, just wait until you see their live performance. The piano becomes even more noteworthy in the live. I won't spoil it, you will just have to watch it to see what I mean. :D)

  20. I'm sure everyone in the comments has told you that SHINee is FIRE, KPop legends going on 15 years since their debut. You probably know that Taemin and Key are in SHINee, with Onew, Minho and Jonghyun, OT5 forever.
