  1. They are still active but since 2011 TVXQ became a duo and last Dec. they celebrated their 20th anniversary. The other 3 that left formed JYJ but are now doing solo.

You should react to Love in the Ice and Bolero from their Tokyo Dome concert, their live performances are amazing.

  2. oooh!! what a lovely surprise! their vocals are so good, i'm glad you found them! and it's so much fun to see you enjoying the song 🌼

the group is still making music, but there's only two members now, changmin and yunho. they did a killing voice earlier this year, so that might be a good place to start if you want to hear more! but otherwise, mirotic is one of their most famous songs, and i think their most recent songs are called rebel and down. i like changmin's solo songs devil and chocolate, as well.

(i don't know all the details exactly but three of the members tried to get out of their unfair contract with sm entertainment, and eventually formed a trio called JYJ. i think there's also some controversies there, but i can't remember what happened!)

thank you for a wonderful reaction, as always! it's always a mood booster when you share something, thank you so much
🧡 btw changmin's pretty famous for his abs, too, so enjoy your tvxq journey😄

  3. TVXQ! are my favorite group along with NCT! They've been killing the game for 20 years and are still active currently (three members split from the group in 2010 and did group activities as JYJ along with solo activities while the other two remained as TVXQ!). If you're interested in more I would suggest:

    OT5 MVs:
    – Hug (their debut)
    – Rising Sun
    – Mirotic
    – Wrong Number
    – Purple Line
    – Balloons

    OT2 MVs:
    – Spellbound
    – Before U Go (the actual MV is A LOT lol so I would suggest watching the dance version instead)
    – Catch Me
    – The Chance of Love
    – Keep Your Head Down
    – Down (their most recent)

JYJ MVs (the three members who left):
    – In Heaven
    – Back Seat

    Live Performances:
    – Killing Voice (you've watched some of these before, I would definitely check theirs out)
    – "Bolero" at Tokyo Dome

    – "Love in the Ice" at Tokyo Dome

    – "Tonight" for the 3rd Asia Tour Concert MIROTIC
    – "Destiny" for Catch Me in Seoul (it's my favorite OT2 b-side so it's inclusion may be a little biased but oh well lol)
    – "In Heaven" (JYJ) at Tokyo Dome 2014

    Solos:
    – Devil (Changmin)
    – Maniac (Changmin)
    – Mine (Jaejoong)
    – Love You More (Jaejoong)
    – Flower (Xia/Junsu)
    – Vuja De (U-Know)

The pretty one singing his face off was Jaejoong and I absolutely LOVE him! If you have the time I would definitely check out his variety show "Jaefriends", it's really fun and there have been a lot of great guests so far, including Ateez, Dino from Seventeen, and Sooyoung from SNSD!

  4. This song was released in 2005.

They were debut as Acapella dance group, lot of their songs have acapella version, check these two epic ballads from them,Love In The Ice and Bolero live from 2009 Tokyo dome concert.

  5. TVXQ are a an early 2nd generation group, and was supposed to be an acapella group when they debuted in December 2003, so yeah the vocals are truly great. just search for TVXQ – Whatever They Say (Acapella) MV for a taste of their acapella singing.
they have plenty of vocally stunning songs (Love in the ice, Bolero, etc.). they have a great discography both in Korean and Japanese. they were my first kpop love! and as 5, they were STUNNING.
you could watch The evolution of DBSK – TVXQ [2004 – 2018] to go through some snippets of their main songs.

  6. Yes finally TVXQ!!! I love them. They have such great music and such a long career. They are great famous sunbaes that a lot of younger idols look up to. I especially am a fan of Changmin's solos (Chocolate and Devil are some of my must listened to albums/songs) ❤

Side note, I know for sure I have recommended them to you before. At least in a quite recent video of yours (a Seventeen one I believe). So we have been trying to show you the light!!😅😅😅

  7. OMG!!! I SAW TVXQ, SO I CLICKED!!

NEVER EVER HAVE IT CROSSED MY MIND THAT I'D EVER SEE THE DAY WATCHING TOPHER REACTED TO TVXQ! 😮😮🤯

it's a lovely surprise and amazing to see that u're reacting to my men's music 😭😭

and i know which ig vid u're talking about bcs i saw the same one just the other day! 😂😂

most of the songs i see that people have already suggested in the comments.. so i wont repeat that.. so maybe my other suggestion is to watch the compilation of their acapellas?
    it's heavenly soothing ❤️

edited: Oh okay now that i just remember, i need to say this.. maybe u can react to Why did I fall in love with you? the first song that i started to fall for them.. 😍and also the acapella ver is serving too.. 😉

hope to see more tvxq/jyj content on ur channel! 😘💕

  8. I loved watching this reaction! Listen to the back catalog. For the longest time they were known as premier live singers. They were put together because they could all sing lead. They are definitely a VOCAL group in the truest sense of the word. If I'm not mistaken, all of them play at least 1 instrument. They all sang in fluent Japanese as well. Many ppl already know the two members who stayed. The pretty black hair guy going off is the gorgeous Jaejoong, who looks even better now that he did then. lol! He also has an wonderful rock voice. The deep sexy voiced guy is Yoochun. He got into a mess with false allegations bc of chaebol…that's all I'm gonna say about that rn. The higher pitched singer is Junsu. He's an amazing musical actor. He was very instrumental in adding much more attention to the musical theater scene in South Korea. It's good that you brought up Boyz II Men. TVXQ intentionally sang live in 5 part harmony. You're correct. They also have an intricate working knowledge of music. They also sing in Japanese. Try looking for the songs "Love in the Ice", "Bolero", "Begin". I remember they sang "Begin" (in Japanese) at a concert, LIVE while exhausted and it was STILL beautiful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJQioR697n8

  9. TVXQ as the 5 were gods never been beaten in the vocal department. And Jaejoong to me is the king . If you noticed the resemblance to NCT Taeyong it’s because Jaejoong was the ten plate for SM looks wise but no one can replace his voice .

  10. I'm not one to comment much, but this time I need to
As a fan of TVXQ and subscribed to your channel, this notification made me VERY happy, your reaction was exactly the same as mine when I saw this video years ago, it's a song that feels soulful and leaves you with goosebumps ❤

songs to react to by TVXQ: Hug, Rising Sun, Mirotic which is still viral today

  11. Tvxq released 2 songs last year and a killing voice. The other 3 members formed JYJ and they all are amazing. I think you reacted to Max Changmin's Devil. I might be wrong.

  12. I think my first introduction to them was Explorers of the Human Body, which was an interesting way to meet them. 😂 Sadly they were already down to 2 before I watched it, so I missed out on those dynamics. 🤷‍♀️ No shade to other aspects of performance, but I prioritize vocals every time.

  13. Hello, I liked that you will look for them, but I do tell you that you entered a wonderful world,🤭😁 they are the famous group TVXQ or also known as DBSK, they debuted at the end of 2003, and Well, until now they are still active, the group as such has already been in the industry for 20 years, but they split up in 2009, leaving only two members in the group, and the other three members They come to make up the group JYJ, but if you liked this song I hope you can listen to songs like, LOVE IN THE ICE, BOLERO, WRONG NUMBER, O, TRIANGLE, RISING SUN, BEGIN, WASURENAIDE, ASU WA KURU KARA, and many more, I hope you can react to them, and thanks for looking for them🙂😁

  14. not many international fans know them because back in the day kpop was not popular in the west but they were the most popular kpop group in asia around 2005-09. they sold out stadiums. and newer kpop groups still cover them to this day. you’ve probably seen covers of their songs rising sun, hug (debut song) and mirotic. you should watch the live version of tonight at their mirotic tour. it’s even better than the MV.

you should also check out whatever they say acapella, always there, kiss shita mama sayonara at saitama, i believe, tomorrow will come, begin at tokyo dome, and a tvxq acapella compilation here on youtube. they can sing really well even without background music while harmonizing. for the jyj group made of 3 ex-members (jaejoong, junsu, and yoochun) they have good songs like W, in heaven, and the boy’s letter

  15. OMG! You found the reason I fell into the world of K-Pop and K-dramas. They opened my eyes to Asian content back in January of 2007 with their song Holding Back the Tears. Their drama “Vacation” is the reason I started watching k-dramas. They were the BTS of the 2000s. At the time they were considered the most photographed celebrities in the planet thanks to the prevalence of camera phones throughout Asia.

  16. I just remember why I came out hard when I started in Kpop. The groups from 1st and 2nd generation of kpop are just genius singers. Their music is so great. There are a lot of groups from the old kpop that just deserves respect for how well they do their thing.

  17. Love the reaction! If you like their vocals, I will give just two more recommendations down below to not overwhelm you 🤣TVXQ debuted as an acapella group so each of them has solid vocal skills. Their harmony as 5 is truly unbeatable. You may love their acapella collection! Unfortunately, 3 members left and TVXQ has become a duo since 2011.

Personal suggestion if you want 5 of them blasting their vocals together to create some of the best ballad performances to ever exist:
    – Bolero at Tokyo Dome 2008
    – Love in the Ice at Tokyo Dome 2008

Other than Tonight which you just reacted to, I think fans would agree these two songs are their representative ballads. These two songs are in Japanese. They were known in Japan back then for emotional ballads, not just the typical powerful dance songs. 🙂 Hope this helps.

For context, this concert at Tokyo Dome was their last concert in Japan as 5, so they were at the peak of their skills as 5 here (It's 3 years after Tonight released). After the split, each of them evolved even more. I'm sure other people have given you their recommendations.

Thank you so much for discovering TVXQ 20 years after their debut! They are still going strong as a duo and is regarded as the legend of K-pop now 🙂 I'm down if you'd like to discover their journey as the kings of K-pop!

  18. This is a rabbit hole worth exploring. Their vocals and harmonies are such a treat. Some of my favorites are
    Wrong number
    Before you go
    Love in the ice
    Bolero (tokyo dome)
    Spellbound

And i think you would really like Fever by Max Changmin. Honestly anything by that man is worth listening too.
