Big steps in the right direction, but contact and consistency remain concerns. De La Cruz has struck out 26 times in 72 at bats, or 36.1 percent. Reggie "Mr. Whiff" Jackson only struck out in 26.2 percent of his at bats.

As somebody who grew up worshipping McGwire and Bonds its taken me a couple decades to get back to watching or even following baseball, and seeing a few Elly highlights come across my feed is a big reason I am starting to come around again. He is just fun to watch play
