  1. I was too young to have experienced the original in theaters though I've watched it several times throughout my life but I made sure to go see this in theaters with my parents who both absolutely loved the original back in the day, especially since my dad was a Navy man back when the original came out and was stationed in San Diego at the time right near Miramar. Even my nostalgia factor hit immensely when the opening music hit and when the movie started playing as a recreation of the original, it went through the roof. This is by far my favorite movie of all time, especially as someone who enjoys the Ace Combat video game franchise which was heavily inspired by the original Top Gun.

  2. i will never forget having tears of joy in my eyes waiting 30 years for a sequel and then they recreate the original perfectly. I saw this movie in every premium screen offering IMAX, Dolby, ScreenX, 3D, and 4DX

  3. This movie brought me back to the awesomeness of the original in every single way. Definitely a sequel tht lived up to the high standards set by the original.

  4. The best sequel ever made. The best action movie ever made. Should have won an Oscar for Best Movie! Goosebumps from the opening scene! I watched it 1st time with my Bro-in-law, 2nd time with my dad and 3rd time with my father-in-law. Both dads loved it and I was really glad I shared it with them both. I still watch it every few months and especially from when Maverick proves the mission can be done. Nice job Tom! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

  5. I watched the second time in the theater, and filled with a bunch of boomers. When the logo showed up 0:57, they were cheering and clapping like young kids. I guess this is their childhood memory.

  6. If Hollywood made all of their movies like this, where they weren't just generic political propaganda pieces, they would all perform as well as this movie did

  7. ive been working at an AMC theater for 7 yrs and when covid shut us down i was devastated, when we finally got the clear to re open this was THE MOVIE that brought the people back to going out again THAT INTRO SONG is so nostalgic i would stop working to see it everytime a new show was playing, literally over ten times a shift, thank you tom cruise for not putting this on streaming
