  1. Yeah, SHINee's not much older than BTS even though they debuted much earlier (SHINee in 2008, and BTS in 2013). They debuted very young at 18, 18, 16, 16, and 14; I think they were the youngest group by average age to debut at the time, actually. Babies!

Interesting your mom says Broadway, since they really do have a bunch of musical theater-like performances. You should show her Woof Woof, Girls Girls Girls, Queen of New York, and Why So Serious (Dance Break). I think she'd enjoy those SHINee performances. 🙂 She's also right that they're super accessible to an audience that wouldn't otherwise be into K-pop, because it's kind of the thing among the Korean general public that even if you don't know anything about idols, you know and like SHINee songs.

    Happy she liked them!

  2. I think you’ll also enjoy the latest Sherlock performance on their ENCORE concert with Onew you can hear it a little bit different, but it still hit hard despite only 4 of them performing. SHINee just keep on improving and always give their all every single time from their debut till today.

  3. I reco Dream Girl & Fire live performances. There is one comeback with Dream Girl that they had a prop malfunction & how they dealt with it while performing was so amazing to see. Re Broadway, 2 of them have been in productions – Onew & Key. Glad your mom enjoyed them! I’ve been a fan of theirs for 15 years, 1 year shy of how long they’ve been in the business. 😊
