This has been Yuta's bag for a loooong time, he's been very vocal about being a jrock and metal enthusiast. Most of the covers he did in the past were of jrock songs and it was always very apparent that this would be the direction a potential solo would go into. Even took screaming lessons and stuff. Big Hyde fanboy.
I think because he rarely got the big showy parts in NCT songs, a lot of people were not fully aware of his vocal abilities. Love that you enjoyed it, the album brings a lot more rock goodness.
