  1. If only MJ managed to perform THIS IS IT… IF only…. What have we lost?
I think people should not compare these two instead they should notice how insignificant are modern stars compared to them and how much music industry changed in a bad way

  2. This was such a healthy rivalry. You could tell that in spite of all the hoopla, they had genuine love and respect for each other. And their butts were indeed theirs 💯❤️

  3. If you’re gonna do another Michael Jackson & Prince video, can you at least make an updated one of Lisa Marie Presley and Michael in honor of her recent passing? It would garner a lot of attention too given her untimely passing 😢 RIP Michael and Lisa

  4. Michael was Goku.
    Prince was Vegeta.

Rivals to the core(whether they wanted to admit it or not), but deep down a mutual respect for one another.

  5. The sad thing is that they had quite a bit in common, and if they had put the childish BS aside, I bet they could’ve become best friends! Now that the both of them died pretty much in the same way (OD’d on prescription meds), I hope they are best buddies in heaven, jamming and having a great time, also with so many other gifted musicians that also has passed the past few years, now including Michael’s ex-wife, Lisa Marie Presley, who I also think was very talented! May they all rest in peace and when that gets too boring, have a ball jamming over there❣️ Can you imagine, Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, Prince & Michael Jackson together – now that could be very interesting❗️ And all those others who could join… I don’t even know where to begin, lets just say, they could have a quite wild musical cooperative or something like that, just for the fun of it❣️ Now that sounds right❗️❣️❗️ ❤️💓💓💔💓💓❤️

  6. It's unfortunate that they felt the pressures of being compared because they were two very talented artists with two different artistically creative approaches. How devastating that we couldn't witness the art of the two merged together because of ulterior motives conjured up by the media. I feel Prince fell and played into it more than Michael. I believe Michael genuinely wanted to work with him and possibly form a friendship. Prince didn't want to.

  7. I just laugh when Prince gets compared to Michael. I like 1 Prince song, I like virtually all of Michael's. But that's just me 🤷🏻‍♂️

  8. Personally, I never understood the big deal with Prince. People go after Mike for his 'antics' but Prince had an ego and a strange persona. Michael was way more down to earth.

  9. The Prince/Michael Jackson debate can be summarized simply:

Michael was seen as ‘bubblegum’ innocent
Prince was seen as ‘sexual’, intense

At the end of the day I preferred Michael. And I truly believe he was “Bad”. It’s not an act he was putting on, he was gangsta. I love him. ❤

  10. Prince is the prince and Michael is the king! Both are one in a thousand years talent ❤️❤️ love them both

  11. I'm SO glad I was born in 1976….and I'm a Black American from Harlem. Unlike people who only "discovered" Prince and Michael Jackson for their popular LPs (or decades later)…..I was so privileged to experience all of these moments, IN REAL TIME.

I was nearly 4 years old when I heard a "female" singing "I Wanna Be Your Lover" on the radio (1980). I remember hearing "Blame It On the Boogie"….."Shake Your Body…" seeing this black man and his brothers. I connected this to myself and my brothers, while we were in Harlem. I remember experiencing the hype of the "Thriller" era…..watching "MOTOWN 25" on NBC with my mother and brothers. I remember the hype of "Purple Rain" and all the immature, petty ways of Prince. Yet, hearing "Purple Rain" on the radio in 1984 at summer camp…..awestruck for 8 minutes.

I was intrigued in later years, as Prince the rebel evolved into a man passionate about preaching a message of Jesus Christ. I was intrigued, watching Prince wear more tailor-made suits…..while preaching against profanity (although I'm an ex-Pentecostal). His evolution was so intriguing. Just watching both he and Michael evolve—-IN REAL TIME. I'm so grateful for the experience. And yes, Michael's death was very, VERY painful for Prince. Hell…..the death of both Michael and Prince was very painful, for me. Experiencing a certain level of artistry in one of the last original decades (the 1980's—early 1990's) forever caused me to maintain a high standard for art.

  12. That night between Prince James and Michael was a tad unfair to Prince because of from what I heard (and I may be wrong) despite him being a bit drunk that guitar he played was allegedly a left hand guitar or something of the sort. I may be wrong but I do remember reading that on his blog site some years ago.

  13. GREAT RESPECT FOR MICHAEL AND PRINCE! although they may not have seen eye to eye in all the stages of their career, they did the best to give the people all the4y had. im glad there was still a respect for each other.

  14. At least prince had a man voice of a man!!! not like Mike had girl a girl voice 🤔🤔🤣🥸🖐️🖐️🖐️🥸🤘🤘price was a real musician mike wasn't price sur past Mike girly ass by far

  15. Prince produce his own shit that's the difference mike never could come close to prince a real musician all around album sells doesn't mean he's better 🥸🥸🤘😂🤣 wt counts is behind the scenes prince was one of the best to ever do it that proudce his own shit 🤘🤘🤘🤘🗣️🤣🤣

  16. Michael Jackson is the greatest celebrity to ever walk this planet, Prince was great too, and nobody should pit them against each other. They didn't hate each other. It was so tragic they died alone in their houses. So sad, my dear legends.
