Chenle’s statements about cosmetic procedures are really enlightening as to how teen idols are treated pre-debut. On one hand I’m glad they didn’t hold it over his head and prevent him from debuting because he wouldn’t get work done, but on the other hand, this drive for “facial perfection” is absolutely ridiculous. I really wonder when it became the standard to ask young teenage idols to get surgery to change their appearance. Like, just looking at SM idols it doesn’t seem like SuJu or SHINee members had work done pre-debut. But in the last few years especially it’s begun to feel like the standard. It’s especially concerning when you consider that people’s faces don’t stop growing and changing until they’re older so doing these procedures on a 14 year old can actually be damaging physically as well as emotionally/psychologically.
Honestly, concerning æspa apologizing and their fans complaining, I don't understand. They are literally everywhere. All the members participated on the SMTown winter album (except 1 song that was only between men), they were on every single one of them. They got to perform them during the concert alongside many other songs: theirs, GOT The Beat, Zoo, Yours, their collab with RV (that also included a MV)… They also were on the side waiving lightsticks for other groups most of the concert.
Concerning Karina and Winter, they had GOT The Beat that literally released a mini album with promotion and music shows.
They have an ongoing reality tv show (synked road?) on YouTube. And I see interviews of them popping up here and there on different channels (at least every week).
And, last but not least, they are preparing for their very first concert. It's not something you do overnight and SM wants to include the avatars which will require a lot of synchronisation, thus even more preparation and rehearsals.
I don't see any hiatus there, especially since their latest mini album was released 6 months ago, which is the minimum before a new comeback in general.

I think that Sm had already tried to make aespa as famous as Blackpink since their debut. And now aespa has a haitus for almost a year just like blackpink. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not a blink and I don't compare the two groups and each has their own style and achievements. I'm just saying it looks like this

Firstly, Chenle is amazing. He's brilliantly talented, and has toured the world singing pre-NCT. I'm angry at whatever brainless, thoughtless and no doubt aesthetically perfect person suggested surgery to him, at whatever age. NCT and SM are lucky to have him, he's perfect just as he is.
If Sungjong really is only 49kg, then he's the weight of a chlid. A healthy weight for a male of 180 cm is between 68-83 kg. Eating only the tiny amount of food suggested here can mean serious medical complications a few years down the line – including heart failure – because it sounds to me like he's starving himself. His weight at 49kg is so low, someone should step in to advise him. Why is there nobody around when this happens? If he's deliberately not eating, he needs help.
And at 25 I think Hyunjae is old enough to understand about the symbolism on the hat he wore, but as this has happened before with Vixx, why doesn't their manager step in? I'm just amazed at how often this kind of thing happens with idols/groups and again we hear from enraged netizens but why not just remind members of groups what's not acceptable, and if mistakes are made why upload it? It's like there's no care or intervention when stuff like this happens, just make your money and don't worry.

as a fix myself who went to their london concert, i don't believe that the members are b*llying baejin, because as i saw and many many other fix at that concert and the other ones saw, fix were behaving TERRIBLY. they shouted over the members speaking also at the london concert (not just baejin but all of them) and were rude to other fix too (pushing, being verbally rude, etc.) its the fix who have a terrible attitude and i feel ashamed to say that i'm a part of a fandom where so many 'fans' are acting like this. this comment at 6:20 also seems very much from an anti since it seems too sus to be just a normal fix with good intentions + the username is very much an anti account just out there to spread hate and make situations look worse.

the video was edited the person edit it to make it seem like jinyoung is the only one getting mistreated by fans and stuff. also the rest of the members in cix are not bullies i watch them all the time they act like a family and they love each other so much. sometimes we shouldn’t believe fans or the internet because they always make idol look bad by one video or tweet. we should dig little more deeper before assuming stuff and see what’s actually going on.

worried about sungjong.. when i weighed 108lb at 174cm it was due to being severely overworked at my job to the point i was nearly blacking out and vomiting on the daily. i was malnourished, had no energy, i looked very ill. the fact he weighs so little at his height is so concerning. he's always clearly struggled with self image, even the prettiest people can hate how they look. i know he doesn't mean to harm others, but he is self harming..

apparently, the video with CiX is edited, as a fix that has watched most of their content I'm pretty sure that the only one at fault here is the "fans" who kept silencing Jinyoung when it was his turn to speak. The members were probably too shocked or embarrassed by the fans' behavior to intervene, definitely side-eyeing the staff and management that failed to keep the fans under check but overall this whole situation is a misunderstanding tbh
the situation with sunjong is upsetting; he is clearly infatuated and even proud of his eating disorder, he should really get help asap
