Bobi has been officially confirmed as the oldest dog ever recorded by Guinness World Records.

Born in Portugal in 1992, Bobi lives with human Leonel Costa.

“We are really happy and grateful to have Bobi with us after 30 years”, said Leonel.

Leonel believes that living free in nature, without being tied to chains, and being fed healthy food, in addition to love, helped Bobi to have a longer life!

“I believe Bobi deserves this Guinness World Records title and I, as his owner, have a duty to give him all the best and honor him in every way for this success in life”, completed Leonel.

  1. He is not the oldest dog. Those are two completely different dogs you cannot tell me the same dog magically got different white markings on his paws and his chest. And his muzzle is not even gray. This is why it’s important to look at the actual birth certificate and not just take someone’s word because those are two completely different dogs. And there’s absolutely no way that dog is still alive at 30 years old when it is that overweight

  2. IDK man. I've seen old dogs and this is not it. No way this dog is 30. Perhaps a switcheroo with the original dogs puppy, similar to the story of Jeanne Calment. That seems way more plausible. Verified? It's a dog, who's going to know.

  3. I am sorry but I'm going to be THAT guy. I don't believe it. I know Guinness is very thorough and all that but nearly 31 years for a dog is simply impossible. The equivalent to a human would be about 160 years old. It just can't happen. They need to recheck their math.

  4. Pretty wild! This dog has essentially lived the equivalent of two lifetimes. He'd be the equivalent of a human living to the age of 200.

  5. It’s the life you give the animal and how you feed it. The eu has strict laws about chemicals in the food and products for consumption. That’s why people live longer
