i looked for this song for 8 years. now that i've finally found it, i can honestly say it fills a hole i never knew i had in my heart. just for 3 minutes i can feel as careless yet lost as i did when i first heard it. my favorite song. my baby. a piece of me.
I lost track of this song's title years ago and have been looking for it ever since – I recently made a post looking for it on r/TipOfMyTongue, and today somebody finally came through. This was my favourite song when I was young and super into Vocaloid; these days I'm getting back into Vocaloid because of Project Diva, and songs like these make me feel the same was I did back then.
I remember one time my birth father heard me listening to this song and he started yelling at me after he found out what this song was about. No wonder this song has always been too close to my heart for years, it represents how I feel even now. Like fml dude.
I could not remember the name of this song, all I remembered was the apple in this video (and the art style) and I was getting so frustrated with so many failed Google searches… finally came across this channel in my old playlist and gave their videos a look, so happy to see the thumbnail – just “YES, this is it!” No idea how many years it’s been since I heard this, but with the first few notes all the memories came rushing back like a truck. Thank you vgperson for uploading this!! 💖
i kinda wonder what this song is really about… ever since I saw someone mention this song I really can't help but be slightly puzzled, and very intrigued. my own interpretation is that it's about compliance, and the regret and hope that it can bring depending on the situation, though I know that's my own biased view of looking at it. I don't know much about symbolism at times, so it's probably also a shallow way of looking at it. if anyone has any other interpretations I'd love to read them !!!
edit: when I say compliance I really mean the type of person who complies nearly all the time – i.e. taking on the personality of the person they're talking to immediately, which may vary to extremes; except this might not be the only case of compliance, the speaker could be also possibly be some sort of double agent..? the more I think about it, the compliance I mentioned could be in a thousand different ways too! total compliance even when they disagree heavily, maybe it's a total mystery as to what they truly think or believe? I feel like now maybe my interpretation of it being compliance could be wrong now. maybe it's just quite literal in hiding some super dark secret, which could also be self esteem issues too??? man this song really got me thinking LOL
