It sure was a special night for Ke Huy Quan! The actor took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor at the 95th Academy Awards for his role in “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” While accepting the prestigious award, he gave a shoutout to his “Goonies” co-star Jeff Cohen. Ke also reunited with his “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” co-star Harrison Ford.

  1. Haven't sat thru or watched the Oscars for decades now.
It would bore me to tears and I would fall alseep.
But admittedly it was nice to find out about Brendon Fraziers win, as well as Key's astonishing comeback. And good for Michelle Yeoh, and Jamie.

  2. Many years ago, Ke Huy Quan was a lovely, smart boy in his film with Harrison Ford and I am happy to see he reunites with Harrison Ford. Congratulation to Ke for winning the Oscar Award!

  3. It was so exciting to see Ke dressed up in a tuxedo at the Oscars. He looked just like his successful, tuxedo-wearing counterpart in EEAAO. They say that "nice guys finish last," but Ke proves that you can be a nice, hardworking man AND still achieve all your dreams. He can have it all–his laundry, his taxes, his devoted and loving wife, and a whole slew of trophies recognizing his accomplishments!

  4. I want so badly to see a movie sequel called "Indiana Jones: No Time for Love," where Indy once again has incredible adventures with Short Round by his side. And to pander to all of us who loved "The Goonies," it features as many cameos as possible from all the original cast members. I'd love for Jeff Cohen to take a week or two away from his law firm and do a couple of scenes! And I'd love for Kerri Green to come out of retirement to participate! They say that every attempt at a "Goonies" sequel has stalled, so at this point all I can do is fantasize about keeping the Indiana Jones franchise alive, and recruiting every Goonie who's able and willing to join.

  5. The photos I see most of Quan, floating around the internet, have Harrison Ford in them.
Don't get me wrong. I like Harrison Ford. I really, really, REALLY like him. He has played some crazy iconic roles, and I have watched many of his movies more than a half dozen times. But do people really have that much of a problem with an Asian actor winning the award, that they have to legitimize him by having Harrison Ford in the photo? Mr. Ford has yet to win an Oscar himself, so why does he need to be in the photo? Am I the only one who thinks that, by forcing this pairing down our throats, we're just reverting to the racist models we've been trying so hard to break?
Maybe you're thinking, "You're overreacting." But consider for a moment: who do you think of when you see Ford and Quan together–Waymond Wang, the character Mr. Quan just won an Academy Award for portraying, or Short Round, one of the most racist stereotype roles ever to pop out of the 80's? And when you see Short Round, do you see Data? Are you getting it yet? No? Did you know that you didn't see Mr. Quan in film for nearly forty years because Hollywood didn't have any actual roles for Asian actors that were not stereotypes?
Three tiny steps forward, two big steps back. I guess I should be grateful for the awareness these wins are generating, but it's really soured by this crap. If you want to celebrate, please do–but let's celebrate the actor, his work, and his role, not the White Guy Who Put Him On The Map Because He Couldn't Have Made It Without Him. That's what you're saying with those images. (No offense, Mr. Ford–it really isn't your fault.)

  6. A Former Alhambra Alumni gets an Oscar. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
    Congratulations Ke Huy Quan. 🕶👍
One of most Memorable Oscar's I've seen in awhile. Goonies NEVER Die!
    GO MOORS!

  7. If you're on your late 40's or so, then you'll understand why I haven't felt so much joy in these events as seeing K having this much deserved recognition. I'll always be a Goonie.

  8. Ke is a good example of American dream, perseverance, gratitude, positivity, and most of all, humility.
