Though I have been a K-Pop fan for almost a decade now and have come to know multiple groups, you are a member of one that I have been familiar with almost the entire time that I have been a fan of K-Pop. I first got introduced to Shinee by my sister, who was a fan of K-Pop before me, and I’d never seen her so passionate in her life about something before. However, I too fell in love with the unique digital-sounding sounds, inhumane choreographies, and stunning visuals that were present in all of the music videos. Of course, I was mesmerized by your individuality in style and musical presence. I had never seen anything like you before and the way that you executed your musical performance; so I was so enticed by seeing something so fresh and new. Since then, my sister and I have been active Shinee fans and have been keeping up with the group. I know that you personally and all of your members have been through more than what a person should deserve to go through during your years as an artist, but that you are still standing and have managed to find your footing in all of it is one of the reasons why I am so charmed by the way that you carry yourself. You have shown unbelievable strength as an idol in a way that nobody else has ever shown; and as a result I have been following you eagerly for the past near decade of my life. It has been a blessing getting to see you grow both with your members and individually and I can’t even thank you enough for being one of the only consistent parts of my life because so much has been changing. As I have gotten older, I feel great satisfaction and comfort knowing that I can always turn to you, a person that has shown me that I can overcome anything and even use that pain to become somebody even stronger. I know that it isn’t just me, but countless of other Shinee fans and other people who are just mesmerized by the way that you are able to keep your head up and keep pursuing your dreams in the darkest of times. What you can do naturally is not something that is easily done, especially now, but I have seen firsthand in these years the strong passion, care, and connection for what you do instilled within your existence. It has led you to keep going and keep being there for your members, friends, family, and fans when they have needed you the most. To do that takes unbelievable courage and a self-awareness that many people yet have not discovered. Outside of your resilience and perseverance, I have loved watching your humorous, professional, determined, and loving personality guide you through the years and evolve over time. You are something so precious to your members and you have a relationship with them that I know cannot be described in words, but only felt between all of you. You inspire me and remind people everywhere to treat those that we love with the most respect, love, and care that we have in our souls because we never know what can happen. You are so humble, kind, and giving to those that you know, and that also goes to your fans as well. I know that you love them strongly as well and have shown them extreme appreciate and admiration even at times when you didn’t need to. You have sacrificed so much every day to entertain so many people even in times when you might not have felt the energy or motivation to do so. I know that above anyone else, your parents and family are so proud of you and love you more than we ever could for embarking on this long and grueling journey. Even when you may have been down, you have shared with us your powerful, confident, and flexible voice; your precise, unique and unmatchable dance moves; and your overall effortless performance that demonstrates all of your hard work and energy.
