  1. Caught a Reds game earlier this year when I was in Cincinnati. EDC hit an infield grounder and everyone in my row was yelling "HE CAN BEAT IT!" (He beat it.)

  2. The problem for the rest of the MLB, Joey Votto has him sitting down beside him, talking hitting. The Reds announcer also mentioned that Elly is just now getting used to major league breaking balls.

  3. Wow! sure he swings at everything not very disciplined up there. BUT he's young. He'll learn to be more patient. the big plus is he has the tools just needs to work on his plate technique.

  4. I'm sorry to say baseball, we may have the first post-steroids monster of a ball player to actually turn the fan base into a bunch of fiending junkies. This is pure magic. Like Michael Jordan for the Majors- circa 86/87 (v. Bird & co.). This ain't no fluke.

  5. Elly De La Cruz is just an AMAZING player, no doubt everyone sees a bright future for this guy; he is for sure projected to become a real GOAT in the future. Great analysis by Brian Kenny!

  6. What an embarrassing comment section. So many casuals and so many non-baseball fans overhyping this dude. Hes in the reds where anyone above .250 looks good. Sports and baseball esp really know how to overhype someone who hasn’t done anything

  7. DLC is a fantastic ballplayer whos shown his worthiness at EVERY level. As a phils fan Im happy for the Reds to have such a prominent player.
