Interesting, a phenomena and only a small group of cultures ever got to enjoy these young women. Very far removed from the US, and many other places. However, I am intrigued by their beauty, pose, and when needed, professionalism. I worked for a Korean Company from Seoul who were global. I covered the mid-west, and met so many nice people in the company. Every two years, they came to Chicago for 10 days. One young woman in particular who was 28 at the time, had the same pose, beauty, and qualities these women have. Not what you would expect, much bigger in many ways. I only now, 10 years later realize I missed a very big opportunity to grow and learn so much more from these people… I was interested, but, my personal situation was in term oil, and my focus was interrupted by a terrible divorce. Nevertheless, I will remember these great people, and now I look to learn from every experience with new cultures and new people I meet. The one thing I have noticed about the Korean people who I met, was, you never can be an insider.
Meaning, you will never be privileged to the secrets or deep knowledge of this culture if you are not Korean. You can be taught, but, you can never master their perspectives, understand their deep rooted truths, what makes them who they are. Rich, deep history of conquest and war, and most of all, honor. Their self preservation keeps their culture strong and meaningful. I have gained knowledge and developed much respect for other cultures as it seems we are all tied together in one form or another. Different countries, different culture, different values, different foods, but one thing remains the same, we are all people, and people are all the same. God Bless these young women, I hope their careers continue, but sadly, the music, the fun, the time, is now gone. We can watch videos and feel their emotions, and talk shows, but, unless they begin another career, now the memories and video tape will bring people closer to these wonderful ladies again. I noticed people are looking for current shows or programs of these ladies, I saw a video of Soyeon on a talk show, game show, I believe from 2019, summer. So many fans are sad at this point. We can hope they will get a chance to all be on stage together again, it would make so many people happy.
