Jake. I will begin by talking about your musicality. Many singers have an aspect about their voices that make them charming, but your voice in itself is just charm. It is soft and gentle, yet there is so much passion behind it. You have this hip and cool edge to your voice which ignites the irresistible elements of Enhypen’s music to surface. It is so light to the ear yet has so much substance to it as well. It is airy and smooth; and its sound surrounds and engulfs you in its embrace. It is always exciting to listen to your voice as no one can replicate it or blanket listeners with the same gratifying sensation. On top of all of this, you are one of the most riveting dancers I have seen in a long time. Just the look in your eyes radiates this ferocity and depth so intertwined with the music and your dancing that we instantly are swept into the world you enter when performing. You reveal the hidden details of Enhypen’s choreography, but still react to the music in a way that represents who you are as a dancer. Your moves are so powerful and even the slightest of movement can guide the rest of your body into a relay of controlled and intricate movement. You really let yourself go and fade into the movement like it’s an instinct. Overall, you have become one of the most prominent artists, most specifically, in this generation; and this status has been applied in record time within the music world. You are still so young and have so much left to do, yet you are already one of the most notable breakthrough artists we have ever gotten. You’ve already greatly contributed to music, set standards, broke records, and helped open up opportunities for future music starts to make their own way. I know what you produce in the future will only continue to revolutionize the world and how music is desired in it. Your artistry, as I’ve stated, is unlike nobody else’s and I know we won’t ever get somebody like you again. As much as I love your musicality, I love your personality as well. You are one of the most genuine people I’ve ever known, and I don’t even know you personally. You are extremely intelligent and have a vast knowledge and awareness of the world. You can create a wave of laughter in mere moments from almost nothing, and that is the best type of humor. I’ve quite possibly never seen so much graciousness or candor, and I know your members can attest to this better than anybody. As individuals you encourage them to be themselves without even having to say anything, but you also show them how indestructible and untouchable you are as a group. They know that they can always return to you and you have very early on established yourself as a home they can always go to when they need it. You’ve seen them in some of the worst and best moments, but consistently stayed by their side through it all. You are more than just a friend; you are a brother and a family member that your members will have for life. They will continue to grow and evolve but only with your guidance and love. What you’ve taught them and will teach them with follow them and lead them for the rest of their lives. They will be the people they were destined to be, and it was fate that you entered all of their lives. Thank you for changing them forever; and for being the reason behind their greatest memories they will keep eternally. I want to personally thank your parents and family for raising you and bringing into this world with the mannerisms that you have. I know they’ve likely done more than we know to help you become an idol all that you are exists as a derivative of their nurturing. As you well know and have already experienced, there will be times in life when you just want to give up and you feel like you can’t escape from where you’re trapped. I know life is going to get difficult sometimes and you might get lost. When this happens, I just want you to remember that they are always going to be there for you. There is no point in your life where your situation is so dark they help you eradicate what’s ailing you or can’t at least help you. They will always be the most supportive of you and understand you better than anybody else. They are proud of you for all that you do and don’t ever think you could disappoint them. They will always love you unconditionally and you are their biggest dream. As Engene, we keep them in our hearts as you do and we will learn to live with the same compassion for every heart, faith in the people who love us most, and promise to live our lives as righteously as possible. Jake, when Engene are with you, we forget we are your fans because you make us feel like we are a part of your home. We’ve only been Engene for about two years, but you’ve already assimilated us into your culture and daily life. You really want us to be a part of your personal life outside of just being an idol, and we recognize that you don’t have to do this. You learn our behaviors, our likes, our discomforts, and create music and content based off of it. You take time out of your busy schedule to communicate with us. We can go to whenever we need because you make yourself so accessible and approachable. I hope you know you can always trust us in the way we trust you. We will always want to be ourselves as well and will maintain the optimism we know you always want us to keep. We’ve never known so much courage and determination until you came into our lives and made us feel like we can do whatever we set our sights on. We are a family and will keep together because of you teaching us to love each other. Much like with your members, I know our best days with you are only ahead and our the most precious memories will be made with you at the center of them. Thank you for showing us how to love ourselves for a life with no regrets; and so that we can love others as well. I know that you have been through a lot in your life; both personally and professionally. I know you’ve had large amounts of pressure and burdens placed on your shoulders that weigh too much for any one person to bear. It is so difficult to think about anybody going through a rough patch but it is almost unbearable to know you’ve faced what you have. On behalf of all of your loved ones and acquaintances, I need to make it known just how proud of you for overcoming what you have. Your ability to envision a brighter and more fulfilling future for yourself is stronger than most and this is a noble way to live your life. You just have an abundance of love and gratitude for your life that will always outweigh any form of negativity. You’re so young yet you’ve already displayed such a mature process of maintaining poise while fighting through a disruption in your life. We can learn from you to face issues head-on and most importantly, consider patience as the most essential virtue. I know though you may have had times that wore you out in the past, they are what made you who you are. We hope you keep up this mentality and we know that no matter how long it takes you, you will always eventually make it out a better and wiser person. I hope that all of your dreams come true and that you get to accomplish all that you wish to today. I know how unbelievably busy you all are, and I don’t know when the last time you got to take a break was. I just hope, if even for a second you get to take some time for yourself today. Jake, if ever you start to question your role in Enhypen, your life as an artist, or any part of who you are, I implore you to look to your fans. If you look at yourself how we see you, you will see the ways in which you have mended all the hurt and animosity in this world. I hope you make the best memories you can always look back on with the most fondness and fervor. I hope that those around you help you to see how admired, idolized, cherished, empathized, understood, and beloved you truly are by all of us. I hope this goes down as one of the greatest days and birthdays you ever have. Please take some time to relax and reflect on what you have achieved after all of this hard work and dedication. You deserve all the praise and conversation around you; as well as to find what you’ve done remarkable yourself. You deserve all of the success and blessings that have come to you; and I know more await you. I hope you spend your time doing what makes you feel alive and you spend every second of your birthday with a smile on your face. Thank you for sacrificing so much just to make Enhypen and so many other projects. Thank you for suffering through any pain, hardship, stress, strain, injury, fears, concerns, doubt, fatigue, isolation, confusion, frustration, and so much more just to bring us a bit of content. Jake, you are quite literally, and nobody could ever stress this enough, the most pure human you could be. You’ve done more for this world and generated more love than we’ve had in a while. With all of this being said, I want you to know that you should never feel inclined to change who you are. I hope you don’t let societal viewpoints urge you to conform to who you aren’t. You are perfect to us and beautiful inside and out. I want you to also know that your happiness is your happiness, so don’t feel obligated to overwork yourself to our benefit. Just work until your satisfied, because having you with us is all we could ever ask of you. We will be proud of you for whatever you do or construct. There's nothing that can convey all of the love that exists for you, and remember we will be by your side through all life has to offer.
